Hi followers :)
Just wanted to give you the heads up that I am back in business and very pleased I get to reconnect with all of you via my participation as an official 2012 SfN neuroblogger! I am not the only one blogging about the meeting and there are multiple topics being covered by different bloggers. For a full list, please click on the link above.
I know it has been a while but since the last time you heard from me, I have completed a behavioral study that I will elaborate on in the future, submitted an APA Dissertation Research Award, collected data for a manuscript, become a mentor to an undergraduate student in the lab and prepared for multiple poster presentations and my first talk here at SfN. Busy, I know. Needless to say, my poster presentations and my nano symposia talk are done, and I’m incredibly happy I got to share our lab’s work at this meeting. Stay posted; more SfN news coming soon.
Oh! And if you happen to be in New Orleans or at SfN this year, make sure to stop by the Graduate School Fair at the Ernst Morial Convention Center. NYU’s graduate program has a booth from 12:00PM-1:00PM and I will be there answering questions regarding living in NYC, getting through grad school, and anything else you may be wondering about.
Last but not least, congratulations to Dr. Tsien and Dr. Lin on receiving prestigious career/career development awards given by the Society for Neuroscience!
